Dining at 351m
Lunch and dinner at 351m: the revolving room with children
How the 360 dining room rotates in about 72 minutes, what the prix-fixe rules mean for a family, whether the kids menu is real, and why the meal includes lookout access.
The revolving dining room sits at 351 metres and turns a full circle in roughly seventy-two minutes. That number is the whole design. It is slow enough that nobody notices the floor moving, and just fast enough that a child who is bored of sitting still gets a new skyline before the complaints start. We have eaten there with a seven-year-old, a tired grandmother, and once with a toddler who fell asleep against the window and woke up facing the opposite shore.
The meal is sold as a prix-fixe with lookout access included. That structure is why we sometimes recommend it over a bare premium observation pass. You are paying for a chair, a table, and the same elevation you would otherwise see standing in a crowd. If you were going to eat downtown anyway, the arithmetic often works. If you only wanted fifteen minutes of view, it does not.
Children's menus exist and are the reason this works as a family meal rather than a special occasion. Portions are sized for actual children, and the kitchen has been willing to simplify a dish when asked. Confirm current rules when you book, because the menu and the age bands change with the season and we do not publish them as fact.
Window tables are the request everyone makes. Our honest note: the rotation means a window seat is temporary anyway. You will face the lake, then the railway lands, then the condominium wall. If sunset matters, book so that you are seated about a third of a turn before the sun reaches the water, and accept that the best light may happen while the plates are still being cleared. Do not promise a child that the sun will set exactly at their seat.
Book directly with the restaurant through the official site. We do not hold tables, take deposits, or pass along a reservation. Anyone who tells you otherwise while quoting this page is not us. The booking desk and the current prix-fixe terms live on the venue's own pages, which you reach from www.cntower.ca.
